The beloved story of Aladdin comes to life in this spectacular new musical. Breathtaking sets, mind-blowing special effects, over 300 lavish costumes and a fabulous cast bring the magic of Disney’s Aladdin to life on stage. Friday February 16 from 4pm – 8.30pm // Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, 708 Jesmond Rd, Fig Tree Pocket

Join in every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month for free movie screenings on an outdoor cinema screen. BYO blankets and pillows for the grassy amphitheatre, or take advantage of the comfortable seating at Riverside Cafe. Free parking and free Wi-Fi available. Dogs welcome (must remain on lead at all times), and a range of dinner and treat options will also be available from food stalls.

Saturday February 17 & Sunday February 18 at 9am // Eagles Sports Complex, 3 Weedon St W, Mansfield

Parents and children can race against the clock at this awesome ‘Obstacool’ course! Each round goes for 45 minutes and you can run as many laps of our epic course you can in that time. All of your favourite obstacles will be there plus foam and two waterslide tunnels to cool down on. At the end of the run every participant will receive a shiny medal!

Ring in the Year of the Dog at Chinatown and enjoy the vibrancy of Chinese and Asian culture with this exciting festival. There will be traditional music, lion dance performances, firecrackers, roving acts, workshops and much more.

Sunday February 18 at 1.30pm // GOMA, Stanley Pl, Cultural Precinct, South Bank

Take part in a drop-in, hands-on workshop led by Brisbane-based artist Kellie O’Dempsey, whose practice focuses on live art and performance drawing. Reflect on works in the Australian Collection through drawing and tracing, and contribute to a collaborative drawing collage. All materials provided. Developed for all ages and skill levels.

Sunday February 18 at 5pm & Monday February 19 at 2.30pm, 5pm & 6.30pm // Performance Lawn, Brisbane Powerhouse, 119 Lamington St, New Farm

This interactive performance uses puppetry to explore connection, community and collaboration. Hand-woven using more than one kilometre of rope, the giant illuminated puppet is waiting to be brought to life. This mesmerising free performance invites 12 audience members to become puppeteers!
