QPAC’s much-loved free Friday music sessions return on February 2 as Green Jam settles in for 2018 on the Melbourne Street Green. This year, Green Jam will showcase popular local musicians and rising stars, alongside the series’ first international act in BrisAsia Sounds on 23 February. Mosey down to the Melbourne Street Green, pull up a chair or lay down a blanket, and ease into the weekend with Green Jam’s relaxed twinkling vibes.

After a barbecue goes wrong, Dazza (Jacobson) seeks out the mentorship of a tyrannical, Scottish chef (Szubanski), ominously named ‘The Butcher’ and enters an international barbecue competition. This special Sensory Screening of Ferdinand Sensory is for families with Special Needs where they can feel welcome while their children are free to roam around the cinema and be themselves. This is a non-judgmental session and no need for families to feel uncomfortable. The lights are left on dim and the volume is adjusted slightly. POWERKIDS // LITTLE ARTISTS AT PLAY

ME, MYSELFIE AND I

‘Me, Myselfie and I’ is a Collection-based exhibition which explores representation of self and features video works by Takahiko Iimura, Phil Dadson, Miloš Tomić and a series of digital prints by Gordon Bennett. The exhibition also includes interactive making and multimedia artist projects that invite children to consider different ways of creating their own portraits.
