QPAC’s Out of the Box Festival is curated to offer connected arts and educational experiences for children aged eight years and under. Over five days, this year’s Festival is jam packed with in-theatre experiences, workshops, activities and exhibitions.

THE MAGIC WATERING CAN
Friday June 22 & Saturday June 23 // QSO, Cnr Grey & Russell St’s, South Bank

Enter into the enchanting world of Mrs Summerbloom’s garden and meet a host of colourful characters as they are brought to life by her magic watering can. Perfect for children up to eight years of age, this musical adventure will surprise and delight. For these performances Queensland Symphony Orchestra will be joined by singers from The 7 Sopranos.

WINTER SOLSTICE FESTIVAL
Saturday 23 June from 11am – 10pm // Northey Street City Farm, 16 Victoria St, Windsor

Festival attendees can enjoy live music, a lantern parade, solstice bonfire, market stalls, and organic meals from local food vendors, fun activities for children, permaculture workshops and sustainable living presentations. The organisers plan to boost the attendance numbers up to 3000 people at this year’s event while maintaining a zero-waste festival.
