Based on the much-loved picture book character created by Australian author Ted Prior, Grug is back by popular demand! Grug began his life as the top of a Burrawang tree that fell to the ground. Fascinated by the world around him and full of determination, Grug embarks on an epic journey to reach the rainbow that always seems just beyond his grasp.

SPROUTS IN THE PARK // FREE CATCH & RELEASE FISHING
Saturday September 23 at 10am & 12.30pm // Roma Street Parkland, The Lake Precinct, 1 Parkland Blvd, Brisbane City

Kids have the opportunity to learn the basics of casting, catching and netting a fish and releasing it back into the parkland lake. Suitable for children aged 7-13 years. GLADIATOR SCHOOL

If your little ones are high energy, you need to check out our school holiday program designed for kids aged 7 – 12, Gladiator School. In this unique experience inspired by Ludus Magnus (the largest and most prestigious gladiator school in all of Ancient Rome), undergo mini boot camp sessions to learn how to train and fight like a gladiator and discover what it takes to become a master of the sword. Try on costumes before striking a pose in front of our Colosseum backdrop, construct and decorate your own gladiator helmet to take home. This is an engaging, fun way to learn about history. Choo-choo! Get ready to ride the “Xpress Train” these school holidays! Jump on at the Cultural Forecourt and steam your way around South Bank each day from September 16 – October 2. The trackless train will wind its way from one end of South Bank to the other, picking up and dropping off passengers as it goes. A perfect family adventure!
