Come along to this free community dune planting activity with BeachCare and care for your local beach. You can make a difference to improve the Gold Coast’s beach environment by planting native species, removing invasive weeds and picking up litter. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels. All equipment is supplied. Please be sure to wear enclosed shoes otherwise you won’t be able to help out. Don’t forget to bring your drinking water and wear sun smart clothing.

Get your hands dirty with a free day of science and gardening fun at the beautiful Botanic Gardens. Interactive displays and activities include bats, bugs, koalas, boomerangs, botanical art, bush food, racing robots and reptiles. Great speakers tent with Jerry Coleby-Williams, Annette McFarlane and more, plus guided walks, nature journaling and nature adventures for the kids. Not to mention plants for sale, face painting, great food and coffee.

There will be glitter, sequins and lots of bright colours! Then you’ll each make a postcard that reflects your unique perspective of the Gold Coast to share with the artist of our choice – The Arts Centre will provide the stamps!

Botanical Bazaar will present a bite-size appetiser of what to expect at this year’s event. Botanical Bazaar will present a sneaky appetiser of what to expect at the Gold Coast Gardening Expo. The day will be filled with free educational delights and botanical beauty, giving you a taste of what to expect at the Botanical Bazaar Gold Coast Gardening Expo (officially held Sunday 3rd September at Country Paradise Parklands, Nerang). The day will be filled with edible flower cooking demos, herbal harvests, composting workshops, DIY vertical garden applications and a stunning art installation brought to life by internationally acclaimed botanical artist Julia Rose.
