PGA CHAMPIONSHIP // MYGOLF KIDS DAY
Tuesday November 27, from 8am ‘til 1pm // RACV Royal Pines Resort, Benowa

The Australian PGA Championship is back at RACV Royal Pines Resort, on the Gold Coast from 29 November – 2 December. A festival of golf the Australian PGA Championship week also includes the MyGolf Kids Day, a free event for kids aged 16 and under, where they will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the world’s best golfers. In a family friendly atmosphere, there will be a Kids Zone during the tournament days with face painting, inflatables, MyGolf hitting bays, music, games and roving entertainment. Registrations are also open for organised school groups.

SUMMERTIME SESSIONS IN THE VILLAGE
Friday November 23, from 5.30pm ‘til 7.30pm // Cuddihy Park, Mudgeeraba

Grab your dancing shoes and your picnic blanket, because it’s time for another Summertime Session. This week, enjoy the melodic stylings of Micka Scene and Pacha Mamma, supported by the beautifully talented Jade Soul Music. You can also catch up-n-comer Sam Wolff on his keyboard – this is not a session to miss.

AASCF NATIONAL CHEER & DANCE CHAMPIONSHIP 2018
Friday November 23 thru to Sunday November 25 // Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, Broadbeach

Be there in the crowd when over 1500 teams from around the country come together to compete for the top honour in Australian cheer and dance. See more than 12,000 athletes – all in their distinctive bows – flip, jump and spin in out over the dynamic three-day competition. This event is a must for any dance or cheer-obsessed little boy or girl.

LEGO DESIGN
Saturday November 24, at 10am // Upper Coomera Library, Upper Coomera

There’s no better way to explore your creativity, and have fun while you’re doing it, than building with Lego bricks. At Upper Coomera Library this weekend, you can do just that – for free! SHAKAFEST
Saturday November 24, at 12pm // Broadwater Parklands, Southport

The ultimate celebration of Gold Coast hip hop, grunge, surf rock and electronic is nearly here – will we be seeing you at Shakafest? FAMILY CODE CLUB WITH SPHERO

Keen to learn to code or master robotics, while also doing something as a family? That’s exactly what Family Code Club was designed for! This fun, interactive session will have you programming robots to navigate an obstacle course, all totally free. The sessions are best suited to kids aged five to 12, and bookings are essential.

DR SEUSS’S THE CAT IN THE HAT

The 9th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art brings a dedicated display just for kids! LIGHTING OF THE CHRISTMAS TREE
Friday November 30, at 6.30pm // King George Square, Brisbane City

Brisbane’s towering 22 metre tall Christmas tree is returning to King George Square, and on Friday 30 November you can witness the magical moment when its twinkling lights are switched on. The tree has glittering lights and a custom-built star with 8600 LED lights that will flash in colourful and festive patterns. The tree will be sustainably powered through a solar power source in the form of Santa’s Workshop, an addition which contains solar panels and a battery bank.
