Running from February 20 to March 13, celebrate the magical timeless storytelling of Walt Disney Animation Studios and see all your favourite characters back on the big screen at the 2016 Disney Movie Stars Film Festival at BCC and Event Cinemas. Those unforgettable stars of Disney are back including Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, Simba in The Lion King and superstar sisters Ana and Elsa in Frozen. Bring the family, dress up, sing along and enjoy Disney’s animated classics as they were made to be seen – on the big screen.

 

Beauty and the Beast (1991) will screen on February 20 and 21. Belle, whose father is imprisoned by the Beast, offers herself instead unaware her captor to be an enchanted prince.

 

Aladdin (1992) will screen on February 27 and 28. When a street urchin vies for the love of a beautiful princess, he uses a genie’s magic power to make himself a prince in order to marry her.

 

The Lion King (1994) will screen on March 5 and 6. Lion cub and future king Simba searches for his identity. His eagerness to please others and penchant for testing his boundaries sometimes gets him into trouble.

 

Frozen (2013) will screen on March 12 and 13. When the newly crowned Queen Elsa accidentally uses her power to turn things into ice to curse her home in infinite winter, her sister, Anna, teams up with a mountain man, his playful reindeer and a snowman to change the weather condition.

 

There’s a free activity booklet with each child’s ticket sold. Each child also receives a film-specific collector card at each session they attend to put in their booklet, so make sure you catch them all!
