If you’re home with your toddler during the day, inspiration for fun activities can run dry. Thankfully, there are plenty of places to go for toddler-friendly fun (that you’ll enjoy, too).

Playgroup QLD and NSW
Playgroup Queensland – and its NSW counterpart – provide early years’ programs and activities for families all over the state. The goal is to strengthen relationships within and between families, encouraging learning and growth for both you and your little one. Check out their websites for a whole host of fun activities, including sensory play, physical play and special occasions, and where to find your nearest group.

Your local library
We LOVE the library for fun, affordable (or even free!) kid-friendly activities. Expect stories, baby rhyme time, relaxation, craft and so much more. We’ve even provided a full run-down of the best activities at your local library – whether you’re in Brisbane, on the Gold Coast or in Byron Bay – on our website. You can thank us later.

Active + Healthy
The City of Gold Coast’s Active & Healthy program is catered to everyone, from families to seniors – but it’s their specialised kids’ program that you (ah, we mean your kids) will really love. But if you can’t get out of the house and still want to move with your little one, give yoga cards a try instead! We love the ones from Mindful & Co.

Kids Collective South Bank
Come Thursday, South Bank is the place to be with your toddler. Their free activities are geared toward under-fives, and they run from 9am until 1pm. The best part is, their activities change every single week so you and your little one will never get bored. Oh, and there are plenty of like-minded mums and dads to mingle with while your kids play – and loads of cafes to grab a cuppa, too.

Mama meet-ups
Nothing helps you through motherhood like having best friends you can rely on – whether it’s for a laugh, a coffee or simply some human interaction. If you don’t have a solid mum network, there are plenty of mums groups, gatherings and get-togethers – both in person, and online – for you to bring your toddler for some interaction, and also find your tribe.

haven

haven

haven is all about family, life and style in Brisbane's inner city suburbs, the Gold Coast, south to Byron Bay. We have been keeping parents in the know for over eight years, with fun, fresh and helpful stories that they can take tips from or treasure in their own library.
