Eat, drink, shop and be merry this holiday season with the host of festive events filling up a jam-packed advent calendar for the Marine Village, Sanctuary Cove!
The Marine Village will be the place to get into the Christmas spirit with a plenitude of Christmas-themed events uniting the Sanctuary Cove community and visitors alike, all hitting up the waterfront destination for good-will and Christmas cheer.
Tick off your Christmas gift list with ease at The Marine Village – which not only provides a relaxed, waterfront ambience, but also has an abundance of unique gifts, designer brands, local and international labels in the one location – and celebrate the year that was with family, friends and work colleagues at one of The Marine Village’s acclaimed dining venues. From breakfast to brunch, afternoon drinks or a night to remember, The Marine Village adds an air of celebration to any occasion.
And, as a special Christmas gift, The Marine Village is giving shoppers the chance to win a Christmas in July trip for four people to Marritz Hotel in Perisher, valued at over $9,000. Simply guess what’s in the box and you’ll have the chance to win! The competition runs until Wednesday, December 26 with the winner drawn on Friday, January 4.
And, even the littlest of shoppers will delight in the magic of The Marine Village’s Christmas Carnival, which will run from Monday December 17 thru to Friday December 21. With Santa’s Grotto as its centrepiece, the Carnival will be the perfect place for children and pets to whisper their wish list into Santa’s ear and have a photo taken with the big man himself. Then, take part in Christmas-themed workshops and learn how to make your own tree ornaments and wreaths, along with the art of crafting personalised Christmas cards and wrapping paper.
And, this Wednesday, December 19, discover the true meaning of Christmas at the Cove Christmas Charity Evening, when restaurants in The Marine Village will accept donations on behalf of their charity of choice for one night only – instilling the importance of giving back to the community, and helping those less fortunate during the festive season.
Finally, come together for a night under the stars on the grassy expanses of The Village Green for the annual Carols on The Green! On Thursday December 20, see the Rotary Buggy Parade – featuring some well-loved characters, and plenty of sing-a-long worthy carols lead by some of the Gold Coast’s best-known performers – and join in as Alex Fietz, the Rob McMullen Duo, the Paradise Carollers, and The Kitty Kats sing all the Christmas favourites and a few fun extras. Kids will love the special appearance by Santa and Rudolph and a spectacular fireworks finale at the end of the evening.
