The award winning family festival, Buskers by the Creek is set to take over the banks of Currumbin Creek this weekend…and it’s FREE!

If you’re music fans, or simply love to be entertained, then there’s a selection of more than 200 performers for you to choose from!   From award-winning entertainers to talented teens; from swing to sword swallowing; from banjo to energy shows – there is literally a mixed bag of sweet sounds and fabulous entertainment to enjoy.

Sideshow celebrity, ‘Space Cowboy’ holds 34 x Guinness World Records and his sword swallowing and side show stunts are guaranteed to leave a lasting impression! ‘Mr Qwirk’ is also coming armed with a suitcase full of surprises, with ping pong balls, rubber gloves, a two meter unicycle and three machetes thrown into the mix.

Recently crowned ‘Artist of the Year’, Karl S. Williams will be closing the first day’s festivities, as the guitar-slinging, banjo-wielding ‘Musical Fool’. You can also expect loads of interactive jamming and killer guitar licks from Leesa Gentz and Julz Parker, better known as the ‘Hussy Hicks’.

An eclectic group of performance artists will be painting and creating their masterpieces and an international menu to please all foodies will also be on offer, with well-known local restaurants dishing up with festival flair.

You’ll be captivated by the raw energy and vintage blues sounds of 2015 Byron Bay Bluesfest Busking Champions, Grizzlee Train and also ‘discover the undiscovered’ with a colourful collection of emerging singer/songwriters thrown into the mix. Energy Entertainments will thunder through with a red hot fire, kung fu and dance performance to close the weekend celebrations!
