To celebrate World Chocolate Day, Portside Wharf is hosting the ultimate festival for chocolate lovers – ChocFest – this Sunday, July 7, from 10am ‘til 4pm.
It’s time to treat your taste buds and indulge in a day of decadent desserts and sweet treats – it’s a special occasion, after all!
In honour of World Chocolate Day (Sunday, July 7), Portside Wharf is putting together a chocolate-filled wonderland – complete with scrumptious chocolate cocktails and hot chocolates on the wharf, best enjoyed while listening to the live music performing as part of the festival.
Celebrating chocolate in all forms, you can try special chocolate creations from some of Portside’s favourite dining destinations, including chocolate nachos and chocolate churros tacos from Burrito Bar; a Honeycomb Crumble Shake from Hello Harry; Chocolate Sambousek from Byblos; chocolate biscotti and cannoli from Belvedere Bar N Grill; a selection of delicious hand-made chocolate desserts from Cruisers Alfresco, including a triple chocolate brownie, salted caramel chocolate tart, cherry ripe slice and Italian Hot Chocolate; and a Nutella pizza with banana and coconut ice cream or fresh strawberries and vanilla bean ice cream from Gusto da Gianni. YUM.
Those looking for cocktails will love Byblos’ two special chocolate cocktails, including Dark Desire with chocolate, mint and cream and the Milky Bar Martini with white chocolate & cream. Plus, Gusto Da Gianni will be serving their Dark Chocolate Borghetti Cocktail, a speciality Italian coffee liqueur with dark chocolate ice cream.
You can also expect the following chocolate brands to be popping up at ChocFest adding to the chocolate goodness already on offer; Fudge Forever, Mayfield Chocolates, Jadore Les Crepes, Poppy’s Chocolate, Zoe’s Brownies, Holey Doughy, The Cheese Pleaser, Yaku Latin Goods and Crunchy’s Waffles.
For kids, there’s free face painting and balloon sculpting, plus the chance to be one of the first 500 people to take a free cookie from the giant cookie tree.
Dendy Cinemas Portside are also getting in on the chocolate action, showing a special screening of the classic French film Chocolat at 2pm. Indulge in their limited-edition chocolate brownie with chocolate custard choc top from the candy bar.
Brisbane’s premier chocolatier Mayfield Chocolates will be popping up on the day with more chocolate goodness to be announced.
Don’t forget, you can receive three hours of free parking when you validate your car park ticket at the validation booth.
