It’s a big weekend of footy excitement for both our Queensland AFL teams as QClash17 brings the Gold Coast SUNS and Brisbane Lions head to head. It’s an exciting day game at Metricon Stadium, this Saturday 27 April, with loads of kids activities, great footy feeds and 5,000 free SUNS clappers handed out as you enter through Gates 1, 3 and 5.

Let the kids roam the Kids Zone, located at the northern end behind the big screen, this is the ultimate match day kids hub. Patrons have the chance to join in all the family-friendly activities from 12pm such as the below:

  • AFL Playground
  • Kids Inflatable Activities
  • Player Signings
  • FREE hair braiding in the Kids Zone
  • Little Legends Marquee (Free to join)
  • SUNS Mascots Sunny Ray and Skye, as well as Lions mascot Roy will be roaming around, so grab a photo with them and share it on social media using #ChallengeAccepted
  • Also get your free SUNS Speaker when you visit the Gold Coast Bulletin stands within gates 1 and 3 this Saturday (stocks limited to the first 500 collected)

Kids can get in their SUNS colours with free face painting at the Metricon Deck and stick around after the game for the Maccas’s Kick 2 Kick on the footy oval.

There will also be a special ANZAC Ceremony pre-game at 1.30pm.

Get ready to roar louder than a lion for when the game kicks off at 1.45pm. Plus, all ticket holders can redeem a FREE Big Mac at any Gold Coast McDonald’s restaurant the day after the match if the GC SUNS score 10 goals or more – win or lose!

Free public transport is included with all pre-purchased tickets including all Surfside Bus services, Queensland Rail City network trains, G:Link services and shuttles from Broadbeach South Station, Nerang Station and Boowaggan Road Park’n’Ride.
