Has hubby been begging for a boat to spend more ‘family time’ together out on the water … or if you just like to stoke the dream of sailing away one day, there is family fun this weekend at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Renowned as the southern hemisphere’s most highly-anticipated marine event, SCIBS will once again showcase and celebrate the industry’s latest and leading brands, with hundreds of boats and thousands of marine products on show across four action-packed days.

With more than 300 exhibitors on board, the 30th edition will see show-goers enjoy an exciting program of events in one stunning location, with popular precincts including The Main Pavilion, the Superyacht & Marine Pavilion, The Boatyard, The Docks and Supercar Street returning along with an extensive on water display.

Catering to all boating lifestyles, the 2018 Show will also see the introduction of the brand-new ‘Sports, Leisure and Fishing Boats’ precinct which will boast 5,000sqm of outdoor space dedicated entirely to trailerable craft.

The precinct will feature an exciting display of locally-made and imported recreational vessels of up to 8m, from Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBS), luxury day boats, aluminum and fiberglass fishing boats and high-performance ski and tow boats, paired with pop-up food trucks, a craft beer tent and the popular fish tank.

Providing “shows within a show”, each dedicated precinct will showcase the latest and greatest, including a range of brands, product launches, live demonstrations and interactive workshops, transforming The Marine Village into a bustling industry mecca.

The Marina will be home to an extravagant on-water display of big-ticket items from the likes of world-class boat builders including Maritimo and Riviera, featuring everything from luxury superyachts, motor yachts, catamarans and sailing boats for visitors to step on-board and explore first-hand.

There will also be on-water sea trials for visitors to get hands-on experience of any item they are interested in from the Sports, Leisure and Fishing Boats precinct.

For avid anglers, the SCIBS Fishing Tournament will be returning to the Show – with the family-friendly fishing competition seeing the winner take all.

Not just for boating enthusiasts, SCIBS 2018 will also provide the perfect setting for a fun family day out – offering a non-stop program of entertainment and activities, including an interactive Kids’ Zone, colourful performances by roving street entertainers, live music and delicious food offerings across the four days!

SCIBS offers FREE park ‘n’ ride services from Warner Bros. Movie World, along with limited on-site parking, available pre-paid.
