The Gold Coast Girls in Business are mixing business and pleasure, with their first ever Race Day Event set to hit the tracks of the Aquis Gold Coast Turf Club on Stakes Day, Saturday November 10.

Teaming up with The Agency Weddings and Events, this inaugural race day event is expected to host more than 250 entrepreneurs and executives from the Coast – it will be a true celebration of the support and engagement that Gold Coast businesses offer one another.

Beyond the networking opportunities, the day will also be jam-packed with the usual Melbourne Cup festivities, including fashion parades and fashions on the field, live entertainment, photo walls, beauty bars, goodie bags and raffle prizes, with the proceeds going to Cancer Council Queensland.

“Not only is it an iconic day in the Spring Racing calendar being Stakes Day, it will also be a landmark day for the business community on the Coast”, says Bree Nicholls from The Agency Weddings and Events. “The Girls in Business movement continues to go from strength-to-strength on the Gold Coast and the GCGIB Race Day event will be the jewel in their crown.”

The GCGIB are fast becoming Queensland’s largest business networking group, having gained over 17,000 online members since starting in 2017.

“We have been overwhelmed with the support and engagement Gold Coast businesses offer each other and we’re so excited to see what the stellar networking opportunities from the Race Day will bring,” says GCGIB founder Asha Peck.

Come along to the race track to enjoy some serious networking, a delicious three-course lunch, four-hour beverage package, live entertainment hosted by emcee extraordinaire Moyra Major from Major Confident and Hot Tomato – and of course, front row seats to all the action from the VIP Events Centre.

Tickets start from $169 – head to www.eventbrite.com.au to secure your spot.
