  • Rainbow Story Hour | Third Friday every month: Little ones can listen to a story read by a member of our LGBTQIA+ community.

  • Superpowered | Now to July 16: Four interactive projects by Indigenous Australian artists to create inspirational imagery for all children.
  • The Alien Others | June 24 to October 2: Young visitors can see insects and create a postcard inspired by what they see.
  • Gods and Monsters | June 24 to October 2: Children can learn about Greek mythology through an animation inspired by ancient Greek pottery.

Queensland Museum and SparkLab

Giant dinosaurs, flying whales and a live ‘science bar’ are just a few of the wondrous sights and experiences you’ll discover here.

  • Little Learners | Thursdays and Fridays: Get hands-on with real museum objects and specimens and explore galleries and collections through play.
  • After Dark | July 28: As the sun goes down, the museum comes alive. Discover the magic of after hours at Queensland Museum.
  • Dinosaurs of Patagonia | March 17 to October 2: Discover sixteen life-sized skeletons from South America’s Age of Dinosaurs.

Museum of Brisbane

Not to be confused with the Queensland Museum on the south side of the river, the Museum of Brisbane in Brisbane City Hall offers a world of wonder and learning just waiting to be explored.
