A large amount of Australia’s wildlife has unfortunately been severely injured from the devastating bush fires. Fortunately, the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s hospital has been looking after and treating our beloved animals and has even opened its doors to the public!

The Currumbin Wildlife Hospital is inviting you to come behind the scenes of what goes on and will teach you about the medical care each animal receives. This is a rare opportunity because you will be exploring areas that the public usually doesn’t have access to!

Their mission is to educate as many people as they can so awareness about the work being completed in the hospital can be spread around.

On Saturday February 15 from 1pm, you can pay just a $20 entry to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary for adults and only $10 for kids, with all ticket proceeds going to the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation.

As well as going inside the hospital, there will be train rides, entertainment shows, food stalls, face painting, giveaways and more!

This is a fantastic initiative to jump on board with since the hospital admitted 12,200 patients and close to 600 koalas in 2019. Your visit will contribute to the Sanctuary’s mission of treating, rehabilitating and releasing sick, injured or orphaned native animals back into the wild – is there any better feeling than supporting our furry, scaly and feathery friends?!
