The trend towards customised, hand-wrought home decor is not abating, and three budding entrepreneurs are bringing a distinctly designer bent to their wares. Deck your walls with the latest from these emerging brands.

Having a Moment_Wallflowers These WallsStick ‘em up: These Walls

Renowned magazine illustrator Sara Hingle has recently side-stepped into a new role producing wallpaper and textiles under her own label These Walls. Moving away from her usual pencil rendering, her first collection features a combination of quirky designs, subtle textures and hand-inked repeat patterns. In a palette of gorgeous colours – from classic monos, clay, bone, pistachio and a few surprising mixes – the designs are carefully considered to appeal to everyone in the fam.

“I want my pieces to be a part of the rich stories and goings-on of each home in which they live,” Sara says; hence the label’s name which references the saying “If these walls could talk”. These Walls wallpaper and cushions are printed and made ethically and locally in Australia. Officially due to launch this month, get a sneak peak at Sara’s gorgeous designs and place a pre-order via instagram.com/these.walls.

Wallpaper is $195 for a 61.5cm wide x 10m long roll and ‘paste the wall’ which is super easy to put up and take down.
