Celebrate Summer at HOME
1-15 December

Get ready! This Summer HOTA, Home of the Arts is hosting 20 events over 15 sun kissed days and long warm nights as part of their HOME series.

What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than at the Gold Coast’s first Roots Music Festival featuring Bobby Alu, Little Georgia, Karl S Williams and Band of Frequencies, or pack a punch as the ladies of Hot Brown Honey bring the heat with an after party by Yo! Mafia.

See the outdoor stage transformed into a skate mecca with a packed program of interactive skate culture at Concreate Culture, where your little ones can tear it up with free skate lessons or the mums and dads can sit back with a beverage and watch local pro’s, sponsored skaters, bands, skate art exhibitions and more.

If an enchanting dance party is more your thing, Dance Beneath the Stars with the Hot Potato Band and Everybody Now! will have you twinkle toeing the night away alongside local ballroom and swing dancers with big band music and vintage footage from much loved bygone era.

In collaboration with ABC Music, Jessica MauboyArchie Roach and some of Australia’s best past, present and emerging indigenous artists take part in Deadly Hearts while our closing concert spectacular Calling Home will toll the bells and transcend faith and traditions with Lior and Parvyn Singh backed by Camarata Orchestra.

There’s also arts markets, roving performers, cabaret, theatre, local creative works and more. It’s all part of HOME, where HOTA have created the ultimate summer playlist for you to celebrate with family and friends. From Dec 1-15.
