It’s an egg-citing event for all the boys, girls and bunnies – so hop along to Sanctuary Cove on Easter Sunday to enjoy an egg-cellent day of free, family fun and fill your basket with delicious chocolate eggs as The Marine Village hosts the Gold Coast’s most epic Easter event.
The popular Easter Eggstravaganza is back in 2017 for one very egg-citing day on Sunday, April 16, so grab some-bunny special and get set for a happy, hoppy day, with a host of free activities for all ages, and even a special visit from the star of the show himself, the Easter Bunny.
The Marine Village will be transformed into a colourful wonderland of Easter-themed fun, with kid-friendly entertainment from 10am to 3pm, including giant inflatables, bungy trampolines, as well as pony rides, a baby animal farm, craft activities, face painting and more.
Expect squeals of delight as young ones hunt for brightly coloured treasures in the famous interactive Easter egg treasure hunt, then bounce to the beat as the kids burn off energy at the event’s special Easter-themed dance classes.
Families can take a train ride around The Marine Village, or cruise the surrounding tranquil waters on board the MV Kilkie ferry. Be sure to wave to the fun-loving roving entertainers who will also keep crowds entertained throughout the day.
Johan Hasser, head of marketing and events at Mulpha Sanctuary Cove, said Easter Eggstravaganza was a holiday tradition for many families on the Gold Coast.
“It’s our great pleasure to host this free, family-friendly event each year,” Mr Hasser said.
“There is so much on offer – from pony rides, to train rides, to jumping castles and face painting. Easter Eggstravaganza is just a wonderful day with an unbeatable atmosphere.
“The Marine Village is the perfect place for a day out, with plenty of dining, shopping and entertainment options for the whole family,” he said.
