Christmas is fast approaching, the buzz is beginning and the pace is quickening. At this time of year it’s sometimes difficult to allocate time for luxuries like a trip to a day spa for example. So why not create your own experience at home. Something you can enjoy spontaneously when you find yourself with some spare time. Maybe even a 20min evening ritual once the kids are tucked up and fast asleep at night. Here I share my top 3 tips to create your very own day spa at home by transforming your bathroom into a wellness retreat.

Starting with a calm, muted colour palette is key to creating a serene retreat. Think pale blues and greys and some blonde timber tones to add warmth and texture.

Bring hints of the outdoors in with tropical greenery. This will visually transform your space and encourage a sense of tranquility. The plants will also cleanse the air you breathe making it even better for your sense of wellbeing.

3. Embrace luxury

Splurge on some luxurious towels and natural aromatic bath gels and oils. Treat yourself and enjoy the feeling of rejuvenation it brings.

Now, you have a space you can retreat to for some much needed relaxation, in the comfort of your own home. When your day has been busy or long remember you have this ‘go to’ to recharge and reconnect with yourself.

Enjoy, you deserve it.
