Due to the severe weather warnings issued for South East Queensland as Tropical Cyclone Oma moves towards the Gold Coast this weekend, February 23, La Fiesta Festival will be postponed for one week.

Luring rhythmic beats, sassy Samba dancers and the mouth-watering smell of traditional South American street foods feature among a sprawling La Fiesta Festival program in 2019.

Celebrating the third annual instalment of La Fiesta, Event Manager Isabel Daley has choreographed a stellar line-up of live South American music, DJ’s, dancers and traditional performers that’s set to bring the excitement of Carnivale to the Broadwater Parklands in Southport on Sunday 3 March 2019.

The festival will see the popular Brazilian led band, Kimmy & Krew take centre stage along with Sydney’s Lorenzo Ysu Swing and mesmerising performances by the Colombian Dance Group, Latin Mania and many more!

To really heat things up, the evening will also showcase an extravagant Fire Samba performance not to be missed!

When it’s time to take a break from shimmying and sauntering around the festival, be sure to indulge in vibrant street foods from local trucks including Atacama, Little Wuahaca, Yes Way Jose, Churros de Oro and Zicatela.
