This motherhood thing can be tough, but it helps to have some comrades in the trenches with you that you can rely on – whether it’s for a laugh, a coffee or simply some human interaction. Mums groups, gatherings and get-togethers first burst onto the scene a few years ago, and since then, we’ve seen a major surge of them – both in person, and online. Here are the hottest mums groups around town and on the internet.
Founded in May 2017 by two lonely mums who had no nearby family or friends, Mama Tribe is on a mission to make sure no mum is left behind. Helping you meet local, like-minded mums – whether it’s a gym buddy, someone to grab a coffee with and talk about sleep regression or you want someone to pass you the tissues as you cry into your wine glass – Mama Tribe will help you find new mama friends near you. Through their meet-ups and special events, including monthly Mama Mingles and their pop-up parties, Mama Tribe have connected thousands of mums in over 50 locations and created a positive, supportive, welcoming community that anyone can join.

If you’re a mum who loves a bit of a party, this is the event for you. Enjoy hot tea and coffee, mocktails and champagne at the Bump to Bub High Tea, meeting new mums and mingling with your existing mum-friends in this awesome day out. Bubs aged zero to two are free to come along, making this a super accessible event for even the newest mums. There will be raffles, prizes and giveaways, free gifts and goody bags, neck and shoulder massages, Insta-worthy photo ops and a mocktail or champagne on arrival. Included in your ticket is a three-hour High Tea with table service (that’s right, no more microwave coffee!) and an incredible guest speaker, as well as live entertainment, music and more.
The Baby Brunch Club
If you’re a brunch-loving new mum, or a mum to a new bub, listen up. The cutest brunch club can be found right here on the Gold Coast, and it’s everything you’d ever hope a baby brunch club would be. The aptly-named Baby Brunch Club unites mums and bubs over the most important meal of the day, giving ladies and babies the opportunity to connect and chat in a relaxed environment. The rules are simple: bring your bub, and let the club sort the rest. Enjoy brunch, coffee and fun activities and hear from special guest speakers, while your baby interacts with others and takes part in activities designed to stimulate learning and sensory development across an eight-week program.
