It’s been a long time since we washed salty movie popcorn down with a jumbo soft drink and a choc top – here’s where you can catch a movie, or how to set up your own cinema at home.

STAY IN…
If your local cinema isn’t open just yet, or you’d simply rather #stayhome a little bit longer, why not set up your very own movie cinema? Recreating the magic of the cinema in your own backyard is easy as: 1) getting a portable projector; 2) setting up a large white sheet, and: 3) sourcing plenty of comfy seating. Simply peg a white sheet up against a fence, wall or shed (or invest in a fancy projector screen that can stand on its own) and buy yourself a projector, which you can find for less than $100. Now, add your seating of choice – an inflatable mattress with plenty of blankets and pillows, or some beanbags, perhaps? String up some sparkling lights and add popcorn and choc tops for extra magic, then sit back, relax and enjoy a private showing of your favourite movie.
As for the movie itself, check out Stan, Netflix, Amazon Prime or Disney Plus – they’re brimming with awesome movies, both old and new. The hardest part of making your own home cinema will be choosing what to watch first!
