The end of school holidays and mama needs a night out. It’s been two weeks of happy days for the kids – play dates, beach life, theme parks, movies and while their social calendars are fulfilled – this parent needs a night off. And she needs some adult convo, with cocktail in hand!
While I love the break of school runs and lunch boxes, school holidays can send any parent (working or not) into disarray. It’s becoming somewhat of a ritual to gather the girls (sorry lads you’re on your own to organize some boy time) and break out for the night! Grab the high heels, your party dress and wash that hair – we’re going to ladies night out!
Our September school holiday ‘de-stress’ found our gaggle of girls at Stingrays, the Gold Coast’s most stylish bar and with live music, cocktails and tapas. Eating was not cheating on this occasion as we indulged in finger food over a bottle (or two) of champers and indulgent cocktails, which were well deserve!
The band rocked, and The Hanlon Brothers certainly have a new flock of fan girls as they belted out love songs, reggae and the latest hits, which had this bunch of girls hitting the dance floor to shake all that school holiday stress away.
Sure we didn’t get to Bali this break, not even Byron Bay, but we survived winter school holidays and have the blisters from our dance shoes to prove it (and maybe a slight hangover!)
