It’s only fitting that I write this column, to open our ‘Wanderlust’ edition, from a plane – flying south to meet up with my family as they enjoy country South Australia. It’s lucky for me that I am airborne as I had a serious case of wanderlust as we wrapped this issue. Whether it’s a day trip, week-long escape or dreams of one day sailing away in my own catamaran – travel is right up there on my list of passions.

The crew at haven shared the arduous (yes – we love our jobs) task of wandering near and far to bring you some rad travel tales on wheels, the sea and land. You will find tips on how to pack that suitcase, snacks on the go, hot new travel product picks and our expert columnists weigh in with their travel tips too.

To celebrate our wanderlust issue, haven is giving you the chance to get your travel fix with an amazing family holiday giveaway at Novotel Twin Waters. Don’t miss your chance to win five nights at this Sunshine Coast family favourite holiday destination. Head to our website, follow the links and enter your family’s name online to win.

Last issue we started a conversation about modern society’s “digital days” and this month we talk security to simplify the social trends for kids these days and give parents and carers some tips on how to talk and guide your children through.

For the business savvy readers, we kick off our next haven business hub workshop this month (October 24) focusing on email marketing and how you can better collect, manage, communicate and then sell to your customers. We have one of our marketing experts facilitating and leading you through the ‘doing’ – so don’t miss out!

Whether you are on the couch dreaming of your next trip, chilling camp side at a caravan park or lounging poolside somewhere tropical, enjoy this issue of haven!

Happy days!
