MAKE THEM A MUESLI BAR
Makes eight to 10 bars, or more if you slice it into squares

Fancy yourself a bit of a muesli bar lover? Don’t let your pup miss out on the fun!

PAWDinkum have come up with the ultimate muesli bar, offering a healthy snack alternative for the pups who live an active lifestyle and are after a treat high in energy.

You’ll need:

  • Baking tray lined with baking paper
  • 75 g carob buttons, melted
  • 100 g coconut oil, melted
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 cups of rice bubbles (95g)
  • 2 cups of popcorn (20g)
  • 2 cups of puffed corn (55g)
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 Tbsp pipetas
  • 1 Tbsp Goji berries
  • 50g dried blueberries

How to make:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the first three ingredients and stir with a metal spoon until combined. Add the remaining ingredients and keep stirring until liquid has evenly covered all the dry ingredients. Spoon into the prepared baking dish, press down firmly and chill for 40 minutes, then remove and cut into bars or squares.

 

SHOW THEM THE LOVE
Makes eight large hearts; five minutes prep time, 20 minutes baking time

You’ll need:

  • Baking tray lined with baking paper
  • 280g 2 cups wholemeal flour
  • 120g ½ cup unsalted peanut butter
  • 2 free-range eggs, lightly beaten
  • 50 ml ¼ cup water

How to make the biscuits:
Turn on oven to 180 C, and line a flat baking tray with baking paper. Mix all the ingredients together until combined. Add water until it becomes wet enough to form a dough. Roll out with a rolling pin, dust lightly with extra flour if it sticks. Use a heart-shaped cutter or preferred cutter and cut cookies out. Place on to the prepared baking sheet, and bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until cooked through. Store in an airtight container and they’ll keep well for two weeks.

How to make the icing:
Take 1 cup of Greek natural yoghurt powder, mix with enough water until smooth. Combine with a few drops of your favourite natural food colouring, and pour into a piping bag. After biscuits have been cooked and cooled completely, decorate treats. Allow icing to set hard (around 30 mins) and store in an airtight container.
