Did someone say fast, flashy, fun and free all in the same sentence!? This Sunday marks the inaugural Sanctuary Cove Festival and Marine Village will be a hive of activity with fast cars, flashy boats and fun for the whole family.
This full day festival includes live music, marching bands, delicious food and attractions throughout The Marine Village from 10am through to 6.30pm with a fireworks finale!
Marvel at the colourfully decorated boats and enjoy the ‘Blessing of the Fleet’ – a tradition that is intended to ensure a safe and bountiful boating season to all marine vessels.
Fans of fast cars will be in awe of displays by Mercedes-Benz, Maserati, Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini among many others, while beautiful classic vehicles will also be presented by leading car clubs from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
For the gourmet set, the Sanctuary Cove Festival is certainly an event not to be missed, with a selection of the precinct’s award-winning restaurants offering special set menus and all-day dining, so be sure to put aside time to indulge.
And for the kids, The Docks will play host to a vibrant Kids’ Zone featuring free activities all day, including a jumping castle, bumper boats, face-painting and an animal farm, while roving entertainers and the Sanctuary Cove train will be weaving their way through the Village.
