In an Australian-first, The Gruffalo will come to life at the National Trust Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, with The Gruffalo Trail experience and an accompanying app set to arrive just in time for the April school holidays. Utilising state-of-the-art augmented reality technology in the natural environment, the Gruffalo Trail will deliver a brand-new outdoor experience to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, giving visiting children the chance to see the much-loved characters come to life like never before – keeping them active and entertained at the same time. The Gruffalo Trail is free with entry, and all families need to do to take part is download the complimentary Gruffalo Spotters app, then follow the clues through the trail and stop at the fun interactive experiences along the way. The self-led trail will be packed with fun facts and 3D animations of characters from the classic kids’ book – which celebrates its 20th year this year – and you will be able to take photos with the characters and view them later via the app’s gallery, then share online using the hashtag #GruffaloSpotter.

haven is all about family, life and style in Brisbane's inner city suburbs, the Gold Coast, south to Byron Bay. We have been keeping parents in the know for over eight years, with fun, fresh and helpful stories that they can take tips from or treasure in their own library.
