Welcome to our latest edition of haven magazine, blossoming with stories to celebrate a new season and the spring school holidays! A new season sprouts a new beginning (thank you Mother Nature) and for me this entails a bit of spring decorating at our beach shack, kick-starting a new fitness routine while my shoulder injury heals and maintaining an organised fridge #houseboss

I will take some time off with the kids to play these spring school holidays – hopefully we will take it slow, soak up the beauty of the new spring flowers, take in some flicks and enjoy a good picnic (which is why we’ve shared some sweet tips in this edition about where to roll out your rug around town). Who am I kidding? This ‘fun’ may not actually start until the kids pick up all their books/Lego/Uno cards, have made their beds (in exchange for five Fantales), and we’ve debated the benefits of wearing shoes so we can get out the door! #mumlife

We’re definitely always up for a day trip though. In this edition, we have left it up to you to choose your direction with some pretty rad day trip ideas and adventures at every compass point. There are also loads of family-friendly events happening, so lock some in your family diary.

On that topic, in collaboration with Link Events, haven has three yearend events to also mark in your diaries. Firstly in October, we have put a stellar line up of wellness experts together so you can enjoy an evening of tips, questions and relatable advice for families. For those business minds, we’re working on selling yourself and your story with a LinkedIn expert and some PR tips. Finally, as November and silly season hits, it will be time for us mums to have a day off – frock up, get those heels on and join in for a high tea and champers package, rooftop at Royal Pines. Gather your playgroup mums, the school mums, your besties or your sisters for a fun afternoon out. All the details and tickets (which are selling fast!) are on our website.

That’s just a glimpse of what’s inside this spring school holidays edition. Now go and blend up a fresh spring smoothie (thanks Well Nourished), read on and make sure you have clicked with us to receive haven’s weekly e-newsletter each week with loads more stories, giveaways and events!
