Spring is in the air!

I adore this time of year. The temperature rises, the flowers bloom and we escape a mild winter’s hibernation to get out and about more. This glorious change of season creates the theme for this edition of haven magazine – getting back into nature these spring school holidays!

Let us inspire your family to get active, try something new and embrace nature. Nurture your nature-loving family with some animal play this season or get your craft on making flower crowns. Spring school holidays are here and what an epic events calendar to explore! Don’t forget to keep some days simple too. Pack a picnic, find your patch of grass (be it beachside, out west or in the city) and soak up the green!

Our family climbed Mt. Warning a few weeks ago and it was such a fun adventure – it’s not for the faint hearted though, as there are a lot of stairs and stones. However, it was well worth it for the thrill and that feeling of accomplishment when  you reach the top. Oh, and that view! I may not get a repeat in the near future with the kids in tow, however we’ll hop on our bikes, roll to Burleigh Hill, walk the trails and find some ice cream to cool us down afterwards.

Get outdoors and amongst it, and tag us in your photos as we’d love to share ideas with our haven community on how to keep the kids occupied (and us parents sane) these school holidays. It’s a team effort!

Happy reading!
