The classic Australian tale, ‘Storm Boy’ – which is based on the beloved book by Colin Thiele – will again be told on the big screen, this time from a new perspective and we have tickets to give away!
The ‘storm boy’ we know and love from the 1976 film has grown up to be Michael Kingley, a successful retired businessman and grandfather. After beginning to see images from his past that he can’t quite put his finger on, Michael confronts his forgotten childhood head-on, recalling memories growing up on an isolated coastline with his father.
Michael recounts one story in particular to his grand-daughter – the story of how, as a boy, he rescued and raised an extraordinary orphaned pelican named Mr Percival. The adventures that ensued and their unparalleled bond has a profound effect on all of their lives, even decades later.
Don’t miss this timeless retelling of the unusual and unconditional friendship that stole Australia’s – and the world’s – hearts all those years ago.
It all starts Thursday, January 17, but you can check out the trailer right here!
