The only thing kids love more than a playground, is a playground with a MEGA SLIDE! We’re talking the biggest of the biggest here, usually a tunnel slide and at least 3 stories high to make it on this select list. Here are the best mega slides on the Gold Coast in one handy list, so you can tick them off and say you’ve conquered them all!
1. Frascott Park, Varsity Lakes
The 4-story high mega slide and flying fox in the Safari themed playground are keen favourites, while little ones will love driving the safari jeep and spotting elephants!
2. Aquila Park, Pimpama
A 9m tall mega slide, with a smaller one for those with a little less confidence – this playground also has an awesome water play area, with moving spouts and water pumps, plus heaps of climbing and balance equipment.
3. Bim’bimba Park, Pimpama
The entire playground is centred around this mega slide, which sits at 4 stories high and is accessed by a series of nets, bridges and ladders.
4. Gibirrngaan Park, Maudsland
Climb the net to the wooden birds nest for views across the park, and then race down the 3-story mega slide! The star of this playground is the giant Red Bellied Black snake that kids can climb on!
5. Schuster Park, Tallebudgera
There are two mega slides on this main tower in the jungle-themed park. Packed with climbing obstacles, this creekside playground has stunning views and a perfect swimming spot.
6. Country Paradise Park, Nerang
The centrepiece of the adventure playground is the 11.5m windmill with mega slide, accessed via a water-tank tunnel and swing bridge. Don’t miss out on the water play elements that wrap their way around the playground too.
