The Mother’s Day Classic is back!
The annual fun run and walk – that takes place on Mother’s Day, if you hadn’t guessed that already – raises important funds and awareness for breast cancer research, delivering a fun, healthy and inspirational community event in the process.
Bringing the community together in a sea of pink, the Mother’s Day Classic isn’t just a great opportunity to get out and about in the sunshine with your friends and fam. It’s also a very special day to support and remember those touched by breast cancer.
First established in 1998 by Women in Super – a national network of women who work in the superannuation and finance industries – the Mother’s Day Classic has since raised over $35.1 million for breast cancer research, all of which has been donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
With some 1.27 million participants having taken part in the various Mother’s Day Classic events across Australia, the sense of community spirit is strong as you pound the pavement in your brightest pink apparel.
Australia’s largest charity fun run, the event is hosted across Australia’s major cities and various regional locations, bringing thousands of people together in support of one collective goal – to stomp out breast cancer, and have fun while doing it.
