The iconic gaming arcade in Surfers Paradise – Timezone – had its grand re-opening celebration over the weekend and left locals feeling amazed!

The revamped entertainment venue is an astounding 5000 square metres and contains 300 of the latest games for all ages and skill levels to enjoy. The all-time favourites such as Air Hockey, Bumper Cars, Laser Tag and Daytona have all had a makeover and are back and better than ever. The infamous Timezone Mini Golf has outdone itself and become completely glow-in-the-dark!

Alongside the classics, there are plenty of refreshing new features for old and new gamers to discover, such as the convenient cashless card system, which means you can load up your card and play to your heart’s content!

The prize shop has been refurbished and re-filled with astonishing prizes up for grabs, including iPhone 11’s, Nintendo Switch’s, electric slime, more than 40 different types of plush toys and an abundant range of American candy. There is also a brand-new café where families can fuel themselves off icy cold treats and plenty of snacks.

The prices range from $26 for 60 minutes of play time up to $45 for 180 minutes of play time.

One of our team members attended the opening over the weekend and had this to say about her experience:

“We were so impressed with the fresh new look, it hits you as soon as you walk in the door! All of our favourite arcade games were still there but there were also some exciting new ones like Nerf and Centipede, which were super fun to play! The bumper cars have a brand new deck and were a dream to drive. The new glow in the dark mini golf was awesome family fun, we especially loved the theme as putting our way through – think the Gold Coast… sand castles, life saving and even the G:Link Surfers Paradise station inside.

“Love the cafe and menu items, it’s literally a one-stop for family date night now. The prize shop on our way out blew our minds! We’re talking prizes like Sunnylife goodies, LOL balls for the kids, and even a Nintendo Switch. That’s enough for us to get our tickets banking!” – Bec, admin/digital

Timezone located in Surfers Paradise is open seven days a week from 9am-12am.
