It’s Australia’s most-loved iconic fashion market and an incubator for emerging creative businesses, and – on Sunday, December 23 – the Village Markets will head north.

Taking over the Brisbane’s burgeoning creative precinct, Stones Corner Village, the Village Markets will bring their bustling atmosphere and boutique line-up of market stalls, pre-loved designer wares, vintage rack sales, food vendors and live music to an already vibrant hotspot, and we’re betting it will be a day to remember.

Having recently celebrated ten years in business, the Village Markets has played host to over 2000 small businesses and have a few international success stories to take at least a bit of credit for – Peony swimwear, F+H Jewellery, Kardashian go-to Duke of London and chart-topping musician Ziggy Alberts.

“We recently celebrated ten years on the Gold Coast and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate this milestone than by expanding into Brisbane, with an event in the unique precinct of Stones Corner,” say founders Marissa Bowden and Sarah Schoeller. “We’re looking forward to connecting with the creative talent that Brisbane and surrounds has to offer.”

Brisbane is enjoying quite the metamorphosis at the moment, with a slew of boutique hotels like The Calile Hotel and the W Brisbane opening up in recent months. With the addition of Gold Coast institution The Village Markets, it appears that the old Bris-vegas is going from strength to strength.

“We’ve had such a great response so far from the local community,” say Marissa and Sarah. “We’re hoping The Village Markets Stones Corner becomes a must-do event for locals and visitors in Brisbane.”

Expect creative workshops, live music, market stalls, family fun and pre-loved designer and vintage Rack Sales lining the Logan Road precinct, kicking off from 10am on Sunday December 23.
