Queensland’s biggest fire drill is all about getting families ready in case of a fire. The online event takes place on Facebook, giving families a chance to learn how to plan, prepare and practise their fire escape plan! Did you know that one in four (26%) households do not have a fire escape plan, either written or discussed? This is higher among families (29%) and those with very young children (34%). This is the perfect opportunity to put aside time to discuss a fire escape plan with your kids so that everyone knows what do in the event of a fire.

Plant a native dune plant, care for the beach and craft a take-home forever reward for your help looking after the dunes. Bring the whole family along for a day of fun in the sun, learning about the important ecosystem that calls our dunes home and the ways we can protect it.
