RISE Early Learning are officially opening their doors this weekend with a fun-filled three-hour event, where guests can enjoy tours of the new centre – which is conveniently located on the second level of Chevron – a crazy scientist show, art and craft stations. Kids and their parents can plant their own seedlings to take home with a horticulturalist, or try their hand at cupcake decorating followed by a high tea. Enjoy a free sausage sizzle and the chance to win one of two $500 cash prizes on the day and, if you’re one of the first 250 guests, you will take home a gift bag packed with offers from Chevron Renaissance’s restaurants and retailers.

The Queensland Youth Surf Life-Saving Championships is the blue-ribbon junior surf sports event in the state, showcasing future champions in the making. See the finest talent from around the state go head to head in individual events from 1km & 2km Beach Runs, Beach Flags and Sprint, Surf Race and Surfboard events. This event also hosts the qualifying teams from branch championships for the Beach Relay, Surf Teams, Board Relay and Cameron relay events.

It is one of the most iconic buildings in the world and, this Sunday, you have the chance to take it on from sea level to SkyPoint! With a total of 77 floors this is a serious challenge but the view from the top of the observation level at SkyPoint will make all the hard work worth it. Participants have spent months raising or pledging money for Rosie’s – Friends on the Street as part of their participation in this exciting event, so now all that’s left is to make the climb.
