Wear your spookiest outfit, ride the themed ghost train that snakes its way through the Sanctuary at night or explore the nocturnal corridor and discover what bats really get up to after dark! Make sure you have your photo taken with slithering snakes and watchful owls before escaping.

Saturday October 27 from 10am ‘til 3pm // Smith Collective, Southport

More than 1000 lucky Gold Coasters will get an exclusive first look inside the city’s newest urban hub when Smith Collective hosts A Family Fun Day this Saturday at the former Commonwealth Games Athletes Village site. The Smith Collective will be transformed into a haven of family-friendly activities, hosting a wide array of food trucks, free face painting, a jumping castle, an interactive Lego area, and a baby animal farm with $5 pony rides. Featuring live music by Elk & Doe, Danny Dyson and Triple J Unearthed’s Emily Jane, the free ticketed event will also see the likes of the Street Science Team and magician Magic Mike take to the main stage. The event will also feature the first-look tours of the Smith Collective’s ready-to-rent apartments and townhouses that will ultimately house about 2500 residents in what is one of the city’s largest urban renewal projects.

Saturday October 27 from 12pm // Circle on Cavill, Surfers Paradise

Circle on Cavill is joining in on the Halloween fun, with spook-tacular celebrations kicking off from midday and running until after dark. Enjoy trick or treating, a spooky magic show, face painting and a screening of two creepy movies, Hotel Transylvania 2 and When A Stranger Calls, then hang around for early family dinner and consider your Halloween done and dusted.

Saturday October 27 from 3pm ‘til 9pm // The Lanes, Mermaid Waters

The Lanes are hosting their own Halloween party, with a to-die-for market and one of the biggest street food truck festivals in town. The huge family fun day will feature live music, a free jumping castle, kids entertainment, tons of market stalls, delicious food and a Halloween best dressed competition on the Main Stage. Get on your broomstick, and bring your furry friends (on a lead, please).

The Good Food & Wine Show is back with an exciting line-up, serving up a spectacular display of the best food and wine the country has to offer. Expect cooking demonstrations from the best in the biz, as well as Citibank’s dining pop-up, Let’s Eat, and – for the wine lovers – there’s free sessions in the Riedel Drinks Lab, demonstrations at the Wine Selectors Cellar Door and Australian wines from the Barossa to the Granite Belt to sample.

Surfers Paradise Fest-Evil is a brand-new, Halloween-inspired three-day takeover, with a tonne of fun activities and entertainment taking place across the weekend.
