Fancy a morning playing with tiger cubs, or hanging with your fave trolls characters in their own village? What if we told you there was a place where you could do both? It’s not called dreamworld for nothing!
This winter, the Gold Coast’s biggest theme park gets a whole new attraction – and it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before. The Trolls Village precinct will open for 12 months, bringing with it plenty of hair-raising, glitter-filled fun for the whole family.
Since they were first created way back when in 1959, Trolls have delighted kids all over the world with their wacky hairstyles and oddly cute faces. Now, in celebration of the DreamWorks Animation Trolls movie, you and your family have the chance to meet and hang out with some Trolls at Dreamworld’s brand new attraction. “We are very excited to have a new family attraction here at Dreamworld, which will be the first of its kind in the world,” Dreamworld General Manager Marketing and Communications, Phillip Hancox says. “The attraction will give Trolls fans a fun, interactive experience where they’ll have the chance to get ‘Trolled up’, just like their favourite characters.” The Trolls Village will transport park visitors into the vibrant and captivating world of Trolls. Alive with colour and music, it won’t take guests long to get into the singing, dancing and excitement – even if they take a little bit of coaxing, like Trolls character, Branch.
Speaking of Branch, guests should keep an eye out for two Trolls characters wandering around the village. Branch and Poppy (pictured above left) will be waiting to receive a generous dose of Troll hugs between live shows. Get set for character meet-and-greets, a new walk-through attraction, cupcakes and one-of-a-kind beauty salon, where children can Get Trolled up and bring out their ‘inner Troll’ to become a Troll character all of their very own!
The brand-new Trolls Village precinct is just one of many exciting announcements to come out of Dreamworld in recent months, following news that tiger cubs Mya and Melati were born in the theme park’s Tiger Island facility in January.
Dreamworld’s VIP Tiger Cub Experience offers guests the once-in-a-lifetime chance to get up close and personal with the tiger cubs themselves, posing for photos and receiving a gift bag to take home at the end of the experience. And if being able to spend a morning with baby tigers isn’t appealing enough, the VIP Tiger Cub Experience raises much-needed funds for endangered wild tigers.
