Maybe you’ve heard about it – your hairdresser swears by it, or your best friend told you about it over coffee – or maybe you haven’t. Whatever the case, manifestation is having a major moment.
We asked author, podcaster, manifestor, lunar lover and (closet) stand-up comic Jordanna Levin to spill the beans on how it’s changed her life.
Tell us a bit about your personal journey with manifestation – where, how and why did it start?
When I was growing up I used to think I was psychic. I would think things and they would come true. But I wouldn’t just think them – I would feel them, take subconscious action towards them and believe that this ‘thing’ would happen, and most of the time, they did. A broken foot, a cancelled flight, a tragic love story… The list went on. Until one day I realised I wasn’t predicting the future: I was manifesting it. If I could manifest the less favourable things, why not the things I wanted?
What has manifestation brought you?
I have manifested some incredible things: a book deal, a car, large sums of money and expenses paid holidays… but that is just stuff! Manifestation has brought me a profound belief in my own self worth and my ability to take ownership of my future.
What are the origins of manifestation?
I’m not sure you could give manifestation a specific origin. Humans have been manifesting since the dawn of time. I base my teachings on my own formula called the Manifestation Equation and it is based on four of the universal laws. There are plenty of neuro scientific studies around the validity of our mindset and the vibrational impact of our feelings on our ability to create our reality. The work of Joe Dispenza in particular is very powerful in this area.
What are some examples of things people can achieve through manifestation?
There is nothing you can’t achieve through manifestation. It is about taking ownership of your future and realising that you play an integral part in creating the things that you want. Look at all key areas of your life. If you were to believe you were worthy and deserving in all of them what would your potential be? This is manifestation.
How does manifestation work? Is there one way to do it?
I have my own formula for manifestation that is explained in detail in my book Make It Happen. The Manifestation Equation goes like this…
Thoughts + Feelings + Actions + Faith = successful manifestation.
With all four parts of the equation working in unison manifestation is possible for everyone.
How can we use manifestation in our day-to-day life?
Learning to manifest using the Manifestation Equation allows you to have a really good sense of awareness and improve your level of self worth. This will impact all areas of your life and the way you approach your day to day activities. I use manifestation in my day to day interactions with people, I use it in my work, the way I talk to myself, the way I talk about others. It’s a tool that once you know you can’t unknow.
What should people who don’t practice manifestation know about it?
They should know they’re already doing it without realising it, so how about learning to do it in a conscious way that allows them to manifest the things they actually want?
Any amazing manifestation success stories you can tell us?
I have manifested a book deal, $20,000 (twice!), a new car and so much more – but these things didn’t just land in my lap. I had to put the work into making it happen. This is the key to manifestation: realising that action is just as important as thinking good thoughts and feeling good feels. My clients have manifested material things like money, cars and holidays, as well as engagements, babies and incredible opportunities. The success stories are endless once you stop questioning manifestation as woo woo and start putting it into action.
